Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 6–8 limes)
- 1 cup water
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (or honey for a natural option)
- ½ cup fresh mint leaves, packed
- 1 tsp lime zest (optional, for extra citrus flavor)
Instructions
- Make the Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, heat the water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Infuse the Mint: Remove from heat, add the mint leaves, and let them steep for 10 minutes to extract the fresh mint flavor.
- Strain & Mix: Strain out the mint leaves and stir in the fresh lime juice and lime zest (if using).
- Store: Pour the mixture into a sealed bottle or jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Serve: Use 3 oz of mojito mix per serving, mix with white rum, club soda, and ice, then enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the Sweetness – If you prefer a less sweet mix, reduce the sugar to ½ cup.
- Storage Tips – Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze in an ice cube tray for longer storage.
- Mocktail Option – Skip the rum and mix with sparkling water for a refreshing non-alcoholic mojito.
